This is a real gem of a book! And I am delighted that Worm N° 1 loves it as much as I do.
The story follows little Isabelle, her flower-potted apple tree and a dog, Pickle, as they embark on a magical journey through four seasons. Each page is dedicated to one season and accompanied by a press-the-button excerpt from Vivaldi’s most famous work, The Four Seasons. But what really brings the story and music to life are the stunning illustrations by the supertalented Jessica Courtney-Tickle which reflect the moods and scenes from the concerto. Each page is peppered with numerous, brightly illustrated enchanting details making the book suitable even for young toddlers. N° 1 loves spotting the frolicking Pickle on each page nearly as much as shaking her bumbum to each tune (little had I known how many funky moves one can bust to Vivaldi!). I feel that no words can do this book justice, so have a look below and sigh in delight!
